Our Story
 Recognizing a need for healthy foods in our community,Lanakila Kitchen was established in 2006 by Lanakila
Pacific, a private nonprofit organization founded in 1939.
In May 2006, Lanakila Kitchen was selected as the
winner of the Hogan/Bank of Hawaii Nonprofit Business
Plan competition fro a sound business plan demonstrating
"social entrepreneurship".
Lanakila Kitchen meals are prepared at our state of the art
kitchen at 1809 Bachelot Street (across from Kuakini
Street). Generous individuals and businesses in the
community helped fund the kitchen expansion to establish
this business venture.
Lanakila Kitchen continues to grow and evolve and today features fresh produce and ingredients in
healthy foods prepared for retail sales, catering services and meal programs for schools and care centers.
Lanakila Kitchen sandwiches and salads are prepared for Times Supermarket. Lanakila Kitchen caters
meetings and special events such as the Healthier Hawaiian Fair, and provides meal service for schools
and care centers such as Cole Academy.
